Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Tri-Star Pickleball platform ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Use of the Service

The Service is provided for recreational pickleball scheduling, group and club management, ladder tracking, tournaments, and collecting club dues and entry fees. You agree to use it only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
• Harass, impersonate, or harm other users
• Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the platform

3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit (such as forum posts or profile information). By submitting content, you grant Tri-Star Pickleball a non-exclusive license to display that content within the platform. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or is otherwise inappropriate.

5. Memberships & Billing

Free play — joining groups and clubs, free-play sessions, browsing, and your player profile — is free. A paid membership is required for competitive tournaments, ladder leagues, signup sheets, and posting in the community forum. Membership is not a blanket requirement for tournaments: an organizer may open an event to all players, as charity and benefit tournaments generally are, and no membership is needed to enter those (any entry fee set by the organizer still applies). These paid features have been member-only since July 1, 2026.

• Recurring billing. Memberships are billed monthly or annually and automatically renew at the then-current price until cancelled. Your payment method is charged at the start of each billing period.
• Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.; we do not store your full card details. Subscribing is also subject to Stripe's terms.
• Cancellation. You may cancel anytime from the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Refunds. Membership payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
• Plan changes. Switching between monthly and annual billing takes effect at the end of your current period; no proration or refund is issued for the change.
• Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry and will email you; access may be suspended if the balance remains unpaid after a short grace period.
• Price changes. We may change pricing; changes apply to your next renewal with advance notice. Early-adopter pricing, where offered, remains in effect while your membership stays continuously active.

6. Club Dues & Tournament Entry Fees

Where available, clubs may charge their own membership dues and tournament organizers may collect entry fees online through the Service. These payments are separate from your Tri-Star membership and work differently:

• Who you're paying. Dues and entry fees are paid to the club or organizer, not to Tri-Star Pickleball. The club or organizer sets the price and terms and receives the payment directly in their own Stripe account; the charge appears on your statement under their name. Tri-Star Pickleball provides the software and is not the seller of the club membership or the tournament entry.
• Service fee. Tournament entries paid online include a Tri-Star Pickleball service fee, shown at checkout before you pay. The organizer may choose to cover it instead of passing it to players. Tri-Star Pickleball does not take a fee on club dues.
• Refunds. Refunds of dues and entry fees are decided by the club or organizer under their own policy. When an entry fee is refunded, the service fee is refunded with it. If a tournament is cancelled, entry fees paid online through the Service are refunded automatically.
• Recurring dues. Dues set up as recurring renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel from the club's page; cancelling stops future charges and your club access continues through the period you have paid for. Leaving a club also cancels its recurring dues.
• Holding your spot. When a tournament collects entry fees online, an unpaid registration may be held for a limited time while you pay (and for a longer, stated window if you are promoted from the waitlist). If the hold ends unpaid, the spot may be released to the next team on the waitlist. In doubles, each player pays their own entry.
• Tri-Star membership still applies. Paying a club's dues does not include a Tri-Star membership. Features that require a Tri-Star membership (such as ladder leagues) still require one.
• Clubs and organizers. To collect payments you must connect a Stripe account and accept Stripe's Connected Account Agreement. You are responsible for your events, your prices and refund decisions, honoring the terms you offer, and any taxes on amounts you collect. We may disable online payments for a club, organizer, or event that misuses them.
• Disputes. Questions or disputes about a dues or entry-fee charge should go to the club or organizer first. Card disputes (chargebacks) on these payments are handled between you, the club or organizer, and Stripe.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Participation in pickleball activities involves physical risk; we are not responsible for any injuries sustained during play.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tri-Star Pickleball shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will post the revised version with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Tennessee, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
